Who we are
EFA Publishing is operated by Boardman Group LLC, an Iowa limited liability company, doing business as EverythingForAuthors.com. Questions about this policy: support@EverythingForAuthors.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service you ordered:
- Contact information — your name and email address, provided at checkout.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or banking details.
- Manuscript and project files — the files you upload to complete your order (manuscript, cover art, reference files, etc.).
- Order details — what service you purchased, turnaround timeline, and any intake information specific to your order.
- Communications — emails you send to us.
We do not collect browsing behavior beyond what Cloudflare Web Analytics automatically provides (privacy-friendly, no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
How we use your information
- To fulfill your order and communicate about its status.
- To send your completed deliverable by email.
- To send upload reminders if you haven’t uploaded your files.
- To request a review after delivery (one email; you can opt out at any time).
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
We do not send marketing emails, sell your data, or share it with third parties beyond the service providers listed below.
Third-party service providers
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Brevo (Sendinblue) — transactional email delivery. Your name and email are stored in Brevo to send order and delivery emails.
- Cloudflare — website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), file storage (Cloudflare R2), and privacy-friendly analytics. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
File storage and retention
Your uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (encrypted at rest) and used only to complete your order. We retain files for up to 90 days after order delivery, then delete them. If you need us to delete your files sooner, email us and we will do so promptly.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing support@EverythingForAuthors.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA.
Terms of Service
Agreement
By placing an order with EFA Publishing (EverythingForAuthors.com), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not place an order.
Services
EFA Publishing provides done-for-you publishing services as described on each service page at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to update service descriptions and pricing for future orders.
Turnaround times are stated in business days (Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays) and begin when we receive your completed files, not when payment is made. Times are estimates, not guarantees — we will notify you promptly if there is any delay.
Your responsibilities
- You represent that you own or have the rights to all content you submit to us (manuscript, images, etc.).
- You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you provide (title, author name, trim size, etc.).
- You agree not to submit content that is defamatory, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
Intellectual property
Your manuscript and creative work remain entirely yours. Once you have paid for and accepted a deliverable (formatted interior, book cover, EPUB, etc.), full ownership of that deliverable transfers to you. EFA Publishing retains no license to your work after delivery.
We may include anonymized, non-identifying examples of our work in our portfolio unless you instruct us otherwise before the order begins.
KDP and publishing accounts
EFA Publishing will never ask for your KDP, Amazon, or any other platform login credentials. You publish your book from your own account. We take no responsibility for platform decisions made by Amazon, Apple, Kobo, or any other distributor.
AI disclosure
Several EFA Publishing services use AI-assisted tools in their production pipeline, including Review Crew, Amazon Research, Developmental Editing, and the Audiobook service. Every deliverable is reviewed by a real person before delivery. Audiobook files are AI-narrated and carry the appropriate disclosure for distribution platforms.
Limitation of liability
EFA Publishing’s total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for lost sales, indirect damages, or consequential losses of any kind. We make no guarantees about your book’s commercial success, sales rank, or acceptance by any platform.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Polk County, Iowa.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order governs that order. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Refund Policy
Our commitment
We want you to be genuinely happy with what you receive. Every order includes one revision. If something isn’t right, tell us specifically what you’d like changed and we’ll redo it.
Revisions
- One revision is included with every deliverable service: Prepare Your Manuscript, Book Cover Design, KDP Upload Kit listing copy, eBook (EPUB), and Audiobook.
- Additional revisions beyond the first are $30 each, billed separately before work begins.
- Revision requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery. After that, the order is considered accepted.
- Report and analysis products — Review Crew, Amazon Research, and Developmental Editing — are one-time deliverables and do not include revisions.
When we refund
- If we are unable to deliver the agreed service within a reasonable timeframe and you have not yet received a deliverable.
- If the delivered work materially fails to match the agreed scope after a revision attempt and we are unable to resolve it.
When we do not refund
- After you have accepted a deliverable and the revision window has passed.
- If you change your mind about publishing your book after delivery.
- For report/analysis products (Review Crew, Amazon Research, Developmental Editing) once the report has been delivered, since the work has been completed.
- If a platform (KDP, Audible, etc.) declines to publish your book for reasons outside our control.
How to request a revision or refund
Email support@EverythingForAuthors.com with your order email address and a description of the issue. We respond to all requests within one business day.
